Down, but no where near out

In the midst of recall after recall for Toyota, it’s easy to jump on the bandwagon and dismiss the foreign automaker as ever being able to compete in the American car market again.  It is amazing how quickly the tables seem to turn; the GM bailout is all to fresh in our minds, but with the Toyota recall the playing field may be evening out, or maybe even tipping in GMs favor?… Actually, not quite, not yet, and it is likely never going to happen.  Toyota is too big of a force in the auto market to be swept away, and now with the American people doubting their abilities, they have the greatest possible asset working in their favor: the motivation and desire to reclaim their number one spot.  Read on and you’ll see firsthand how they are living up to the challenge.
